Taken from a wrecked, red Z24 with 112,000 miles. I needed the tranny and I kept the engine as a spare for my son's Z24. I drove the car around the yard to test the tranny and the engine ran well. Doors were too nice to scrap, but now I need the space - doors have power windows and power mirrors all good except glass missing from one mirror and interior trim panels gone, bot otherwise clean, straight and no rust.
Bob
what you lookin to get out of the engine?
what exact year car is it?
was the car an automatic? if so, im very interested in the ECM.
The engine is complete and was from a '96 Z24 with the 5 sp manual tranny. I am asking $225. The engine is already out and on an engine stand.
Bob
how much for the engine and door? any sort of deal? lol
I was asking $50 for both doors, but act now, and I'll throw in the doors for for free - total of $225 for both doors and the engine
let me fig out if i have any humanly possible way to get to you.. or any way u can meet at all?
What direction are you? Time is at a premium for me, so if I'm letting this stuff go at this price, it has to pretty much be come and get it.
Thanks,
Bob
rochester Ny .. and i dont think i really got a way to get to you
Boosted,
Yeah, Rochester is aways from here - I'm about 30 min south of Pittsburgh
how far from md are you 21703
I am in Washington, PA. I am right at the junction of Interstates 70 and 79. The engine is no more than two minutes from the interstate.
I'm interested in the motor as a temp thing while I build a replacement, that is of course if you think it is of decent enough shape. I could drive out and pick it up, only a few hours for me. You said $225 with doors? How about $200 and you keep the doors. Let me know, I could do this as early as Saturday, I'm just dying to get my Cav running again, it's been something like a year.
Yeah,
I'll take $200 for it if you pick it up. I have an engine hoist, so it should be no problem loading it. The engine ran fine for me, but I didn't drive it for more than 5 minutes, just up and down the road so I could shift the tranny into all gears.
I guess I should ask, where was the car wrecked? Rear ended? I'm trusting you when you say it runs good.
The car was front ended. The bags were blown, breaking the windsheild. The car was drivable, but the radiator was bent )amazingly enough it didn't leak). The PO then let it sit out and the sun roof leaked, ruining the interior and she didn't want to put the $ into the car - and I only wanted the tranny. Again, I drove it up and down my road just to test the tranny. It ran well enough that I thought I better keep it as a spare for our Cav - but now I want my engine stand freed up.
Ok, hopefully there are no underlying problems with it because I'm ready to buy it. What time Saturday would you be available? 10am-ish? I've got a wedding to go to Saturday afternoon so if Saturday morning is no good for you we could arrange for Sunday as well. I'd prefer sooner than later, though. Also, could you PM me your address so I can get a route planned.
Uhh, hello? Contact me ASAP, please.
Engine has been sold. Doors remain - make me an offer.
