Forget selling the motor... FOR SALE: MY CAR

Yep thats right... I really dont have the time right now to swap the whole motor soooo I'm looking to get rid of the whole car.

I was checking online and I noticed that most 2k1 Cavy's with similar milage are going for ~7.5 - 9K

SOOO being my car has under 60k on it, and actually only like 15k on the motor, and minimal dings, I figure a fair price is right around 11.5k with all the other work that is done (about 3.5k in parts)... done deal.

I AM OPEN TO OFFERS, so lets see what you got...

Dude the Blue Book value on that in MINT condition inside and out is only 5900. And if you have some dings and @!#$ id say its less than mint. So add all your Modifications onto that and you have like 9000.

On top of that mods dont add value, they only deplete it.

Yeah a little bit high, I would gladly take $7k-$8k for mine if offered, though I'd be scared to list it for that, and that would be with all the mods included.

Allright this is true...

However people are selling 01 Cavalier for ~7-8k

So forget 11.5... your right that is a bit high. 9500 is a bit better

And lundis, I never had one problem with any of the work that was done for my car. Blown heads? Dunno what your talking about. The only problem that was had was people Mike annoyed the hell out of him. Thats for another thread entirely.

welp hes a reference for u and to bring u back down to perspective. lilld9... whose car is basically the nicest car on jbody right now, is asking 6800 for a turboed z24 which only has 20k more miles then urs. 6800 for his car i think is a great price since its practically perfect, u'll have better luck in the 7's, since i know ur engine is forged and u got some work into urs. J-body's resell price is insanely pathetic, wish u didn't mod ur j-body yet? lol.

Note to anyone interested in this - good luck getting ahold of him. Aside from answering some of my questions this guy has been impossible to get ahold of. Plenty of promises to return calls... no calls returned. Picked up his phone once when I called. Didn't even tell me when he changed his mind to not do the motor swap (thanks, I guess I'll spend my money elsewhere now that it's all been prepared??) so I'm sitting here for a week thinking I'm waiting for his call. As for the motor that is in that car... if it's been put together the way he says, I would say that definitely adds to the value of the car, because it's impressively built and has a small number of miles on the motor (though he told me ~8k) that thing must be really quick.

Well, I would send him messages, then watch him be idle, back, away, back, etc with no responses, despite saying "hey I need to know the date of the swap so I can close the loan". So the online part wasn't easy either. Though the one or two times I did get his attention he answered quite a few of my questions. With some amount of patience.
