Need a hand?
Wednesday, August 18, 2010 8:19 PM
Long story short, I'm looking to help people out with their projects. I want to learn as much as I can to start working on my own car, but since my high school classes are booked with academic @!#$, I need another way to learn.

So, with that thought track, I figured why not ask the members of the org if they need help with anything. In terms of opinions/input, I'm no help at all, but in terms of an extra set of hands, I can definitely help.

I'll drive to wherever you are (after the 29th or so. My license is revoked until then...), probably eastern NY at the farthest, unless you can pitch in a few for gas and a caffeinated drink to get me home, and I'll assist with anything you need help with on your car. In return, all I want is to be taught at least a little bit about what is being worked on (for example, we're swapping out an ld9 for an ecotec in a cavalier. I don't need to have a step by step process, but just showing me how things work, and how everything hooks together would be great.)

I start school September 7th, so after that, I'll only be able to do weekend trips.

I think I've written enough for everyone to get an idea of what I'm asking for/offering, so if you're in the area and need a hand, shoot me a PM and I'll send you my number.

Because ecos like to keep their rod bearings.

Boost > N/A

180hp in 1989 or 260hp in 2008, you decide. Quad < Ecotec

thats cause ld9s been out since least early90s vs the eco only since late 02. so of course ull see 10-1 more ld9s they have been out longer. now if i look in my yard i see 3-2 ecos lol but they are all in cars running vs the dead needs fixing ld9s hahahaha.Plus with a larger more modern basis n selection of possible parts id take the eco.

Thread jacked...

But, now I have a question. Don't ecotecs also respond to modifications better, too?
