I'm in the process of rebooting the Sinister Images car club. Our site was hacked in Dec and I did not bother to fix it due to dwindling interest, lack of focus, and lack of leadership. I now have some plans and ideas for a new beginning, but if you want more info about us feel free to im me matt38y3
Pretty much we started out in 2002 as a branch off the now defunct but still infamous J-Krew of MD. It started out as a J only club but most of us ended up getting rid of our J's because we moved on or they died on us. We have done all aspects of the hobby - show, racing, roadtrips, sound competitions, even held our own show twice. At one time we had more than 30 active members, now I'm sure I could round up at least 10 of those for the reboot but some new blood would be good.

Are the car clubs and "teams" really worth it?
Speaking of clubs i saw a few cars up here(north of scranton/wilksbarre) that were part of a club called "keeping it low" or something like it. I only saw one car that was lowered, but i did enjoy parking my cav next to them.

years ago i was into the club scene. but not anymore. i didnt like being accused of having an "attitude" problem because i choose to stay home and work OT a few weeks in a row

good luck guys, it's a very frustrating thing trying to organize meets and such.
I've been down that road, it was more hassle than it was even worth.
how many people are interested in a club?
z28guy(KGM BEOTCH)
I'll be down local to Reading, but I will only have a half day sundays for the first 8 months as I get my business up and running. For those who know from other post, I almost have a spot and should be able to talk to the landlord about holding meets. If I get one of them I will have 40 parking spots reserved for me alone.
ur the man Mike !!!
im def. interested in being in a club . well have to set rules of conduct and car mod rules , at most 3 mods to be considered & stuff like that

I do have to agree with Matt. I always had more fun in this hobby in a club, everyone with that shared interest... I always found it as a motivator and since I am pretty mechanically inclined I always enjoyed helping in installations

at the time i was traveling around 2 hours to get to meets on saturday nights and i was showing up more often than people who live 10-15 minutes away. anyway my job at the time had required mandotory overtime during the summer which meant i couldnt go as often as i was and besides gas was over $3 a gallon at the time. and sometimes id stay home and go to a move or a local dirt track race. so one night i got an IM saying everyone in the club thinks i have an attitude problem because i wasnt showing up anymore.
car clubs are nice if the right people are in it and are in charge. and i found my motivation was people coming up to me and asking questions about my car
