does it even work with a 3 spd if its for a 4 spd?
4 speed dont see why it wouldnt work. I had a 3 speed auto in my 93 and put a 94 4 speed at with tach no issues.

The only thing I could see not working would be the prndl indicator might be one off. I have changed out clusters and it never mattered.

I am not 100% positive, the only thing I could see being an issue would be the indicator light for the shifter on the dash. Shouldnt affect anything I dont have any non tach cars to try it out on.

Yepp. haha. and FYI they DO make a 3 spd clust with tach. but its RARE as hell to find. i finally gave up on my search and just bought the one from a 4spd. it works just fine. the only thing that isnt right is that you cannot go in to gear 3 obviously. but. D is D. N is N. 1 is 1 and 2 is 2. so it all lines up correctly. you just have an extra speed. and this i am 100% of.

We're actually going to harrys, well one of them. My buddy needs a steering knuckle, fender and door for his 01 grand am and im gonna scope some things too. Then I'm driving us down to the auto show
