who does this in NJ? a salt truck creamed my damn windshield as I was passing it on the way home from work, and needless to say my windshield is destroyed. I'm looking for something local to me, does quality work for a decent price.
I was quoted from A1 autoglass inc at $220 installed. seems awfully cheap. any one have any reviews or any suggestions where to go?
just to give you an idea i paid 200 Installed for my windshield. I told the place where i got mine i need it done that day and that i was going to call another place and then they took 40 bucks off and scheduled me for next day. This was safelite auto glass.
i had a place do mine when i lived in jersey called safelite (or something like that). they came to my house while i was at work and replaced my windshield in my driveway. i believe it cost me around 200 bucks or so. this was like 3 years ago.
my buddy works for safelite and thats about the going rate.. although your windshield should be covered under comprehensive... I know if mine is broken I dont pay a dime...
But thats through my insurance

depends if you signed up for the glass coverage. I know when my windshield got smashed, I thought I had glass coverage, but found out I did not and had to pay out of pocket. Needless to say I added glass immediately after.
PJ, Safelite is a good company and will usually come to you within 3 hours of the call. Also, you can call and say you were quoted X price from X company and they will more often than not match that price. I think I paid $180 to have mine done, and they came to my house.
ok cool i'll be calling safelite then.
never had a windshield replaced before, I don't want to end up with a rattling leaky windshield or some crap. gotta make the phone call now.

they do good work. i didnt have any problems when they replaced mine.
You know you could just call joe about it he gets a really good break on window replacements thru work.

from what i understand, safelite is nation wide. their pretty big.
