I've been wanting to attend this for a long time.
I'm having a hard time finding the rules on their site though as well as the details regarding the event layout. Is it it something really obvious that I'm just missing?

I actually found the rules on google, at least for 2007. I don't think I'll be attending because I can't swap out tires for the drag racing. My car on street tires at the track is useless and drag radials are equally useless on an autox or slalom.
While I understand why they won't allow tire changing, it just doesn't seem to make a fair comparison when I'm trying to compete with awd & rwd cars. I know it's a great event but like I said I'll probably be opting out. It's a pitty too because every year I wanted to go my car just wasn't ready and this year it would have been.

ummm look at my car. it's def fun. the slalom is built into the auto-x. tom (turbo'd 02) won drag race in his class. you can swap tires if you want to be in the top gun class.

I'm not saying it's not fun, I'm sure it's a blast. I see the top gun class now but I'm without question out gunned there
Especially since it seems they can run race tires on the autox course which I don't have.
I may attend but not sure, I'll have to mull this one over a bit. I need a new set of tires and I wasn't planning on buying them before the event.
Funny part is I was going down the list of the points added to your car. I was adding a lot of points with my car, even for engine balancing, a decked block, etc etc. I found that really amusing!

ya that's what i was gettin at. it's 80 bux plus your travel cost. if you want, i'll offer my place to stay friday night so you don't have to worry about the hotel. i'm sure tom will be stayin w/ me this year from detroit. i'm 10 minutes from the park.
had 3 j-body cars there last year.
