may i ask what is wrong with yours? (or what you need it for)

I may have one for sale soon.... all depends on how things go with my projects here.

If i can get my hands on a good used 2.4 crankshaft, i wont need this engine i have here....

(i have a 2.4 with a spun bearing, rod bearing #3 of course, journal #3 is still in pretty good shape... but appears to have been worn smaller, or else someone machined JUST that bearing before. So i am going to mic it and see if i can maybe use a oversize bearing for that journal and make it work... but more than likely i will need to replace the crank.)

but anyway... i bought a used (but good running) 2.4L to replace this engine... but if i can fix this one easier than i can swap engines, then i may just do that, and then my "spare" engine will be up for grabs.

the original motor had a knock after I was burning out in 1st and 2nd gear drove it for three days and it broke a rod. I got a motor from my buddy from a 98 that had a bad head for free. I put it in my car with my head on it started it up for about a minute and didnt realize I had to have harmonic balancer on it and the key way broke. Bent 4 of the exaust valves. Now I have a head from a 98 malibue that I got for 35 bucks and am in the middle of putting it together now. I just want to drive my car . I get a little frustrated with the timing on the damn thing. then today my brother bought a 98 z for 200 bucks that needs a new head. his buddy put a new timing chain on and forgot to release the tensioner and lost compression in 1 cylinder. I should be real good at the timing after these two cars. I do have quite a few extra parts for them because I used to work at a junk yard just no motors that are any good.
