Ok guys....I rarely ask for opinions, but I figured what the hell. Right now I have 3 sets of side skirts. Stock, Razzi, and Type J. I got the Razzis and Type Js for free and I figured, hell I might as well see how they look on the vert, so here we are.....
Stock sides
Razzi sides
Type J sides
Now I understand the concept of "do what you want" but at the moment I am up in the air. I HATE the stock sides and think that just about ANYTHING would be better than them. BUT I don't particularly care for either of these other two sets of sides either.
My preference would be IF sides (and a set actually came with the drop top and were waiting for me up at Paul's) but they had to be sacrificed for the greater good of the car (i.e. I traded them for the work to get the 1/4 welded about 6 weeks ago)

i think the razzis go better with the front bumper imo. they have a similar flow to them. of course i still cant see the type j's all that well....
Hmm... How about sell all 3 sets and get some WW sides.
If you don't like either of them just get the ones you want. I'm sure someone out there might want to trade you a set for a set. Shouldn't be that hard, but you know the first person that wants them is going to be in SoCal or something far away.

IF are the only ones i would really want for the drop top. i dont like the WW sides either. oh yeah, i also want to stay urethane on these. ive got bc2 sides on the red car that i would put on the drop top and they would flow....but i dont want to go back to fiberglass.

Out of those Razzi most def.
i dont like razzi, and i dont think they flow with the jbody lines. but uh stock...is my opinion.

ive always been a fan of type J... but if i were you, i'd find the IFs
yeah i dont care for either of the aftermarket sides, but again, i cant stand the stockers. the type Js arent that bad, but id prefer something that doesnt come up the rear 1/4 panels like they do. and the ones ive got that dont do that dont flow and are too low.
and the reason i am trying to get something figured out is because i want to try and paint this thing by the end of june. i dont have the $ to throw around on some IF sides, esp with prices going around $200+shipping for a used set. i just figured that if either of these skirts would look ok, that i could use them. oh well...

i think the razzi looked the best out of all them but yea they still look a lil low for the front and rear

hey Ben, id say the get some IF sides or maybe even some LS Sport sides....the 95 - 99 Z skirts dont go good with anything unless its the same bumpers....
the type j is only gonna look good if you got the same kit to go with it

Why not try the J sides but trim off the strip so it doesn't look so crazy?
then you could even mold them in.

nah, i actually like the door strike part of the type Js. and i really dont want to try and mess with molding in urethane. but that might look good on someone else's car....

or ben, I got some 95-99 Z sides at home...would you prefer those? I'm confident I'd trade straight up
trade the fire sides for the z sides? ok. although im not making another trip up there just for that so we'd have to sweet talk jnickel into doing our dirty work when he comes down to visit
