FS: 1988 Mustang GT 5.0L
Wednesday, February 20, 2008 3:44 PM
A buddy from mine at work is selling a 1988. I asked him if it was ok for me to do this for him and he said it was perfectly fine by him.

Here are some of the mods that he has (I can't verrify the Horse Power, this is just what he said)

- Performance Chip, which gave him "150hp" so now it's at "452". Or so he says
- Racing Clutch
- Racing Brakes
- White Cobra Rims w/ low-profile tires
- Front seats are from a 2002 Mustang, so they are electric
- Pioneer CD Player
- 6x9 Punch Speakers in the rear
- 160,000 miles
- The mustang is white

It is also a 2 door hatchback and pics are upon request. The price is still in the air but as always, best offer gets it. PM me for any questions and/or pictures. If you just want to stop by and take a look at it, that is ok too, just send me a PM. Also, I have not personally drove it so I do not know if the clutch is any good or if it has any problems with it. He also seems to know quite a bit about the fox body mustangs, so just shoot me a question and I'll try to respond asap

^^ The guy should work today, he is on call but I know for a fact that he works tomorrow (Friday). I will bring my camera and send you pics. I'll also ask about the rebuild on the trans and engine, I THINK it's the origional motor, I don't think any rebuilding was done to either. The VERY latest you should have the pics and info would be Sunday, earliest would be today after work. I get out at 9pm tonight.

Well if its a stock 5.0 and the motor hor the asnt been built the motor has about 240 hp was rating from factory but they had 205-220 at the wheels when dynoed and the chip doesnt do anything on those cars unless modifyied exstremly all the chip is is a tune anyways and gets rid of the rev limiter! But im a mustang nut lol just a little info for peeps! So ask him the specs on the motor if its the 5.0 302 or the 5.0 302 ho? And if its the t-5 tranny still in it?

^^ The only thing he has done was the A/C delete, which I just found out today. And yes, it is the 5.0L HO engine and he has not done anything to the transmission or the motor. Neither has been rebuilt.

I don't know what the asking price is, so I can't comment on the laughing thing, but I'll tell you this. Straight up, a fox body will bring well over the KBB value. As a matter of fact, most v8 Stangs bring more than blue book. Myself, I have a hard time paying 80% of book, but for a clean Stang, I'd do it because thats what the market says I have to do if I want one. Tell your buddy to read up on the Corral and the other Mustang forums to get an idea of what to ask for it.

My buddy wants alteast 4,000 dollars. Its a very clean car, I THINK. But, you never know what you can get for ANY car. He said taht he has gone to other websites and he see's other fox bodies 5.0L go for more than $4,000.

Here are the pics of his car ...

^^ Back of car "Mustang GT"

^^ Side of car "Mustang GT"

^^ Drivers side electric controls for seat. Passanger side is manual

^^ Passanger side, but drives side looks the exact same (Back Seat of Car)

^^ No A/C, it was taken out

^^ The very little spot of rush I saw on the car (drives side still)
