Hey Mid East peeps....quick question for you. I just found a job which would require a transfer to Mclean VA. Now, I am clueless about this entire area, never even been there, but I did some research and it looks like Mclean isn't exactly the poorest of cities. Houses in the $500k seem to be quite common, which isn't in my range quite yet. So I wanted to see if anyone on JBO worked in that area and made a commute? I hear also that traffic is a damn nightmare. What are the nearby towns that may be a decent place to live without an hour long commute into the city? I've made a 45 minute commute before and although it was doable, it got pretty annoying.

well DC is horrible on traffic ... as is alexandria, fairfax, and most of NOVA ... but so it is also here in Hampton Roads...

as for the actual area of Mclean... ive never been there besides maybe through it, so i dunno how it is day to day...

incidently, a "JBOV" project is in the works ... (J bodies of Virginia)
