West Michigan J's

Just wondering if any of you hung out in K-zoo or Grand Rapids area. I go to to 131 dragway (well I have been twice this year) Anyways I don't ever see any J's in my area at all. I'm from Allegan at will be at track this weekend trying to tune in my 10psi set up which is going so so. Ran good enough to make a 13.6xx last Saturday. Hopefully will be a little better this weekend if I can get home to some tuning.

Hanging out with us is the most fun. Too bad you missed my Annual BBQ/Car Meet in August

I am probably the closest to you. I live between Martin and Hopkins. I don't get into Allegan very often. I have a black 99 convertible Z24 a black 99 LS 2.4 sedan, and a white pro street Chevy Astro. I don't go to the track very often, usually just to watch the special events.

I tried a few times to get something going in GR, but had no luck.

Hey Troy, what's up?

I met you in South Haven down at south beach this summer if you recall.

Also saw you up at the Street Rod Nationals/hotel parking lots. Nice exiting burnout.

I live in Otsego I just got a '02 Cav coupe about 3 months ago, so it's nothing special, but I've been doing a lot of work on it and have huge plans for it. I'm in Allegan every weekend and usually once or twice throughout the week too...I think I've heard about your car from my friend.

Yeah Joe, that was my second gear takeoff. lol Great on the clutch you know. I had to show those old folks a good burnout from a J you know? They would really be impressed now that I'm running 10 psi.

It looks like there is some J's around after all. I guess I need to get out and do some cruising sometime. I just constantly work on my car or something and never go out and enjoy it I guess. Maybe this weekend I can just go out and drive it. I will probably use a ton of gas because it is rich in the low rpms but whatever. I will probably have it tuned by some pros here shortly when they can get me in because I'm sick of learning I think.

Hit me up if you see me around

Hey as long as Porter's Performance isn't doing your tuning you should be safe .

I live here in SH not too far from south beach, get in touch if you ever want to hang out. Though my car is already put up for the winter.

Haven't heard too much of Porters, didn't plan on going there and surely won't now. I was thinking of taking down to IN to a couple of EFI students that are running a tuning bussiness. Supposed to be real good from what I hear. They at least have a schedule that is booked. That's a good sign right? What do you drive for the winter?

Also anyone know of any good tuners in the area. Doesn't have to be a shop really. As long as they know what they are doing.

Porters is a joke. As for my winter DD it's a big ole' Mercury given to the gf by her grandparents. It's free and it gets me to work! Drifts nice too. Definately looking to replace it though.

Notice something about an M45 in your profile. If you've gotten it installed, awesome. If not...I've done two installs on my own so let me know if you need a hand.

I bought the kit used from a member here on the org, and I already had it installed once. I took it off because the coupler is shot and so is the bypass valve. I decided that I would just have stegiemeir rebuild it this winter.

Right on man, I was thinking about heading over to Milan, near Detroit this weekend. Heard there was some people meeting up over there at a test and tune. Kind of scary going that far to beat the snot out of my car though. Especially when I can do it 15 minutes a way at Martin.
