i'm lookin to buy a z motor. i spun a rod bearing in mine.
I have a 02' block that I was told has 30,000 on it. I have it all torn apart. Bottom end is all together......top end is well all over my work bench. Cylinder walls look pretty good. Top of piston number 4 or 1, can not remeber, needs to be cleaned. Look like it hasn't fired in a while. Also have a new timing chain and others.
I'll get pics tonight after work. I was going to build it, but I'm just going to buy a brand new motor....and build the motor in the car right now at my leisure.

I'm thinking he doesn't want to have all that fun we had learning on how to time an engine David. We are pro's now, but it wasn't to much fun was it.
timing the motor isn't a problem. i work at a dealership i do it all the time. i just didn't wanna tear into that block cause i don't know how much damage it did. last time i spun a bearing the metal scored my cylinder walls and what not. but anyway i appreciate the input and i was looking for a motor already together. thanks
damnit stier you posted under my name...
when i spun my rod bearing, it ended up eatin away at the crank, so replacing rod bearings wasnt the solution. now my engine is out, and i have a new crank goin in this week. EXCITING!!!!
