Does anyone around here have a 2.2 manual trans preferable Isuzu so I dont need to fab up a mount. Also need flywheel and cables. Unless the cables are the same for a 2.4. Its a 96. Reason being Im starting a V6 swap and I need the 2.2 trans because the bell housings match the V6. Maybe a local junk yard within a reasonable distance has one. I checked here in Ft Wayne they only have autos. Thanks for any help.
Check www.junkyarddog.com and also www.car-part.com. Junkyarddog will have yards send you emails if they have the part. You could actually just tell them you need a transmission and a flywheel.
The shift cables are different between the 2.2 and the 2.4 cars. The only difference being that the 2.4 cable's have a heatshielding on them because the 2.4's exhaust exits from the back side of the engine. The V6 will be the same way. So actually, it would be better to have the 2.4 shift cables for the V6 swap.
Oh... also forgot to add. You could get the flywheel from a 3.1 or 2.8 V6 as they are the same as what's on the 2.2.
