find out what scholarships the college is offering
also financial aid is a possibility also im sure.. ive gotten both a scholarship from the college im at(Ivy Tech but still) and financial aid.. financial aid paid for everything after my $500 scholarship(tuiton,books), hell they even bought me $760 worth of tools for my automotive classes..
if your still in high school go to your counsler, they should be able to give you lists and info on alot of scholarships avaiable to you.
ha ha thats pretty funny thats were im gonna go is ivy tech here in richmond im gonna be taking engine performance 1 and transmission 1 for my starter classes lol

yeh im in engine performance 1 right now, my first semester i did Electrical 1, and Manual Transmission. This semester im doing Electrical 2, Brake Systems, and Engine Performance 1. I got 3 credits from my high school automotive class so i got my credits for Engine Principles(which i beleive u have to take before you can do Engine Performance 1), Suspension, and another class i cant remember.
When i move to Ft Wayne this summer i plan to start my Auto Body degree but i might just finish my mechanics assciote degree.
Good luck tho, math and english suck for me so im wanting to move to the indy area instead and go to lincoln tech there in indy or w/e so i can just get my auto body degree and start off my career
i failed out of my Math 050 class last semester.. but i tested out of 044 and whatever is before that. now im in my last english class required and im hoping i can pass this.. I just hate math and english and cant ever get into it. But i will suggest u want to put alot of your time into school and gettin @!#$ done.. you'll be better off then me.
yea i wouldnt go 2 lincoln tech my buddy went ehre and he said it was way over priced an he didnt learn a damn thing. That was my first choice cause my bro lives in indy and he said i could live with him but i have heard from a bunch of ppl that its not worth it

It's good to see some future techs in the making. Back when I was in school (in the 80's) no one wanted to be certified or trained. Everyone was a "Shade tree" mechanic. I got my ASE Master Auto in '91 and ASE Master Light/HD truck along with L1 Advanced Engine Performance in '94. GM Master in '96 but it expired due to closing of the remote schools.
