I am swapping the engine out of my sunfire. So I have a 1997 2.4L TwinCam LD9 engine, 4T40E Transmission, with complete wiring harness and PCM. Will also come with guage cluster, heater hoses, all mounts (3), complete intake, and a few other things. MOST of what you need to swap this engine into a 2.2L car.
Engine run ran good the last time it was in the car. Has just under 100Kmi on the pair, both are original to the car. I originally thought I blew it. It in fact only needed a few minor repairs. The exhaust manifold is sketchy and may need to be replaced, Tuffy stripped the threads in 2 bolt holes, not the end of the world. If you're planning on beating on this engine you might want to rebuild it first. With it being out of the car would be an excellent time to build it up, put some real life into a base cavy or se fire.
I have many other miscellaneous parts available too, just ask. I will split the engine and transmission if the price is right; or find someone to buy the other and you can split the price.

How much for just the engine? Did you say whether the tranny was auto or manual?
$450 for just the engine (w/ accessories, w/o harness). $350 for just the transmission (w/ TC). $200 for all the other stuff listed.
The 4T40E transmission is:
4 speed automatic
Transaxle (front wheel drive)
40 x 100 = 4000 LB gross vehicle weight rating
Electronically controlled
All newer GM automatic transmissions are "named" this way.

I have all the wiring, computer, almost everything needed to swap this thing into a J with a 2200.
Also have a steering column, rack and pinion, steering wheel, air bag & module, and a million miscellaneous parts.
