I got a voicemail this morning from someone (sorry I couldn't make it out too well) from on here wanting to have a track meet before the end of the season.
They mentioned something about SHOoff possibly taking the 3400 down the track to see what it can do.
I might be game, for the weekend. we might not have enough time to make it happen though.
Another alternative...a possible dyno day at CRT performance in Norwalk. I can get prices and times if we have some interest. I can get prices with and without tuning. at least then we can all hang out and keep warm.
let me know

Nobody discussed this with me......
The vehicles will be down for maintenance this weekend. Both of them. I'm trying to milk the black one til the wekend so I can get the new water pump on it. That and the lower intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, coupler, and 3.4" pulley
Good news... I think i've resolved the problem with having a dead battery in the morning. New alternator went on this morning. Apparently with a large electrical load, 30 amps being generated from the old one just wasnt enough.
it was me ..... i didnt mean to inply that id talked to sho just that it would b cool to see what it would do ....
oh and i went to the track and was realy dissapointed ..... 17.9 @ 65mph!!!!!
track was slick and i spun like mad
oh new mods to the car ..... intake/header/2.25 exhaust all the way back
MITCHELL!!!! I couldn't make out the name LOL
I wasn't quite sure what the heck was going on, I'm like "who called?" and it didn't show on the cell, so I figured that since I live in BFE that had something to do with it.
SHO had mentioned something about doing a Dyno. I think that that would be a better plan since few of us will get traction before too long. I'm really kinda worried about NOPI weekend even. It's getting real cold fast, and it's been wet alot lately.
So, we should get some prices and see who all would be interested in doing a dyno day. and then cruising to get some grub. I'm leaving the fam at home this time.

Where did you go? LaRue? That's a @!#$ty track anyways. Track Prep > LaRue
Andy, if I do a dyno I'll have to see if my buddy can tow my car there. One it runs so rich that I carry a fire extinguisher in the back seat. One of the big ones. Probably bigger than anyone's NOS bottle.
For NOPI, it got real cold last year when the sun went down. And I wont be running my car. However, I may consume beer, and watch the races. Just hope that John Shepard dont blow up his trans and diff's again this year at the 60' marker on his 1st run.
i guess a dyno day would b ok ... im just adicted to the track now that ive actualy went this year
yea laru sucks peps with slicks couldnt hookup .
well if neones up for a track meet im down for a test and tune night (ive heard that kill kare is nice) but the dyno day would b cool
just wouldnt do much for me cause i cant tune the ecm (till i swap to the s10 ecm) well get back with me
oh and its suposed to warm up agen for a little bitt
Why cant you tune your PCM? All you need is TunerPro and a chip burner. I've got a chip burner around here I wanna get rid of too.
a chip burner huh? let me get some stuff paid off and we'll talk.
I think dragway 42 might have one or two more nights left...fresh track this year as well.
If you come to consume beer and need a place to crash, call me, I'm 10-15 minutes from the track. I might even be there, but I might work to get some stuff paid off.
Heh.... well.
The GTP accidentally caught fire. Post about it is currently in the 3rd gen forum. Hopefully the mods will move it to this one. So I guess i'll be set back a bit more on the cav.
As well as, i'm stuck driving it for a while.
id be up for a dyno day, just let me know details.
<~~~~PWN3D!!

why would you want to dyno that obsolete piece of....oh wait, nevermind (j/k btw)
I'll call the local place with a dyno, and post it up.
Also, I had a brain storm on the DEA thing for next year, to the bat cave, I mean DEA site.
hey Hotbug,
I dunno if you remember me, I have the black Trans Am. Kept missing running into you at Dairy Queen last year.
CRT Dyno Day would be awesome. I'm good friends with the owners, great people
Call and set up a date if you got people that want to go.
They tuned my WS6 there, I'm goina go back to see if I can put down a few more ponies, I only put down 402 at the wheels last time
that was w/o the bottle
and to the rest of you, don't be scared of the mustangs
Yeah Matt, I didn't make it to DQ this year, but I remember seeing you on 13 last year. car looked AWESOME. just wish I could have shown you the awesome powah of the Quad LOL
I'm in the same boat as just about everyone else, I can't get a tune until I am on MSII. that comes with the M90, and stroker, so I'd be putting down baseline numbers just for fun. but a Dyno Day anytime is cool, just to see what you make with what you have.
Sho and I are discussing on the DEA site about a possible weekend long meet in southern Ohio to determine if a DEA "event" would work there. I hope those who are available will chime in on our discussion and add their thoughts.
the meet discussion
Heh... reaming me for the fire on the GTP huh?
It's ok, it shoudl be repaired mostly this weekend. The rest on monday. This weekend looks to only be a valve cover gasket, and a new set of plug wires. The wires were all burned away, cept for the one. Valve cover gasket being blown caused the problem. Monday either from the dealer I have to get a new dipstick, and oil cap. Good thing I sported immedietly for the fire extinguisher from the gaurdshack at work. LOL
Oh, and a can of brake cleaner to wash off all that f*ckin dry chemical @!#$ from the fire extinguisher too, that happens to be all over my exhaust manifold.
