I live in Indiana and I have currently decided dabble into the automotive field. I am a father so Wyotech or MMI is already out of the question. It just wouldn't work out. Anyway, though I live in a state where thousands come to witness " One of the most greatest specticals of racing"(if u don't know what im talking about then stop reading this!!) Anyway, there seems to be a lack of decent schools to attend to achieve this goal. I can either go to Ivy tech, or I can attend Lincoln Tech. My question is which would be the best? And if there are better schools to attend in Indiana, where are they. Dont tell me Bloomington either because I live in the central part of the state.(kokomo) Any and all advice is welcome, thank you.

just goto Ivy Tech, good people there and they have a decent automotive program. They also work around your schedule.

I see that lti commercial all the time!!! Funny to think thats your Z homie. Heck yeah they want 18,000 dollars for one class!!!!
ivy tech isnt bad.. im going there next year for auto mechanics in kokomo.. then shooting over to fort wayne for collision repair in a year or 2 after.... since my mom works in the one in logansport(where i live) i get a nice discount on my tuiton.. If ur lookin to do body work they don't offer it in Kokomo.. the closest was Fort Wayne.. i beleive u will take some of the same classes in collision repair as auto service so u might be able to take a couple classes for collision repair in kokomo.. But Ivy Tech seems to be my route.. In my school we have auto body, auto mechanics that im taking this year and actually get 3 credits for my auto service class towards my college at Ivy Tech.. Just depends on the person..on what college is for you.. I was really interested in going to Nashville Auto-Diesel but i chose the Ivy Tech route being cheaper.. Might still plan to go to Nashville or Northwestern after i go through Ivy Tech if i feel i need to go further.. Also with Ivy Tech i beleive i can get a Assc. degree in both auto mechanics and collision repair in bout 2 and a half years.. so that opens some good jobs quick..not here in Logansport.. obviously but maybe in Kokomo or around.. Logansport isnt too good of a place to look for jobs.. let alone plan to stay there for a while it seems..

My poor baby is in the shop. Recently I had this run in with a focus, I won but not at the expense of some engine work. Basically, I hurt my timing chain which in turn bent the exaughst valve! there was smoke comin out of the crank case. Its bout 1875 to fix. So im fixin it plus i found a wrecked 04 sunfire with my egine(of course) I bought it for 500 bucks and it only has 14k on it!!
