getting a new kit soon and i dont wanna f up my car with a front plate anymore.. any ideas on when or if the front plate law is going away?

it was going to happen last year, but taft vetoed the bill. its never going to happen until we get a new governer. maybe not even then, depending on who it is.

i had mine behind the mesh once but still got ticketed. he claimed that it wasnt fully visable.
just zip tie it to the front of the mesh....,,or rock out with no front plate, thats what i do...never been pulled over for it in 4 years
I got a warning for not having mine, even though I showed it to him cause I keep in under my seat, but that was last year, no recent problems
i always use the excuse that i just got the car painted and haven't had a chance to put it on. haven't had one in eight years.
post cops wont bug you about it, and if they do they'll just give you a warning... the only display of plates ticket ive gotten was because mine was behind the grill, but he didnt pull me over for that. he pulled me over for speeding but i caught him making up a number without getting an actual reading on me, so out of embarassment he found a reason to give me a ticket since he couldnt for speeding. otherwise, he wouldnt have bugged me for it. most cops wont, unless they're really bored, or really looking for a reason to get you.
my cav was warned 4 times in 3 months. thinking about attaching it to the mesh but when its boosted i dont wanna cause any restriction. theres no way im gonna be able to drill into a 599 dollar bumper.

i just got a ticket about 2 months ago...no warning or nothin, had it in my back seat and told him i just bought the car and hadnt put it on yet...60 bux i didnt plan on spendin that week!! why dont we all just pack up and head to indy...tint and plates are however you want it...
I have not run a front plate on my cars since 1997 and have never been stopped for it. I was stopped once because my front running lights were too blue looking ( got a warning ). Even then the cop said nothing about the front plate. Sometime when you are on a busy street look at oncomming cars. You will be surprised at how many cars do not have one on the car.

yea...drive down I-75 once...about 50% dont have license plates, and if ya look, bout every one of them is from michigan...not having one is usually a sign that they arent from ohio
i havent had a front plate for a few years. the very first night i got pulled over with a warning and nothing since then.

The only times you will get nailed for it is if you pass thru a town or munincipality that makes it's money on tickets or when you get pulled over and the cop gives your car the once over. So what the things ugly but at least you'll save $60.

I think that most of it was the fact that i was driving a flat black cav with type j 18s that look like 19s or 20s due to the straight spokes with no lips and the thing was so low the wheels tucked aftermarket hood. and big sti looking wing. when they guy got up to the car he made a comment about how a car with no ground clearance racin seats and a roll cage kinda spells out that i had a car that would promote speeding or something. little did he know the cav was slow as a neon lol im wondering if the rustang is gonna stand out as much with out the plate... the roush bumper doesnt use mesh and is tacky when people use it.
