This is a thought... prolly a long shot, or at least not even a good thought considering its 2 AM... and ive been up since 7 AM...
Ive noticed both the main J bash and the V6Z24 bash are the way the hell up north... nice if ure there... sucks if ure here ... south... or west.... alot of our cars are getting up there and years and milage and those of you who are daily driven can appreciate this... i know for a fact my car would never make it to michigan and back without having something go wrong.... 150 K miles... and all the Mobil 1 in the world wouldnt save it...
So anyway... geting to my point...
a group of some of the teams, failing that one team, failing that a group of anyone interested... in this forum, should get together and plan a Strictly J-Body (none of that Delta Body "i wanna be a Honda Civic" bull@!#$) bash thats located centrally in this region... plan it for like 2006 Show season, which will give time for everyone to advertise and let all the people who dont post here know about it...
if anyone can make since of any of this... feel free to reply ure thoughts... this is only an idea flyin around in my head....
I really do think this is a great idea. My car doesnt have a whole lot of miles BUT I wouldnt trust it to drive a long distance. I really think that this would be a great thing i am all for it if it happens.

Blah you guys are wusses lol
I drive 500 miles in a drop of a hat basically. What Centeraly Location are you thinking. because Indy is a pretty reasonable spot.

basically it sounds as if you're just trying to get a bash together in / around your state... remember indiana & michigan are also in the mid east region... so by you trying to make it so the people in your area don't have to drive fair with "unreliable" cars... then theres plenty of people from indy & michigan an parts oh ohio that would have to drive that far. just me $0.02, not that it matters since I don't own a J anyway lol
Bryan, how is indy a centrally located mid east region state? lol
Yeah, I don't understand. The "main" bash is located in the same damn region!
the next bash should be in Colorado......for god sake its the middle of the country.....its the perfect spot...its fair for everyone
or at least put it in nebraska or kansas
i should have clarified...
The real Mid - Atlantic Region (not what J-body.org declares which states are in what region, but moreso whats midway on the altantic coast)
EG: SC, NC, VA, TN, WV, MD, & KY
and i never said move the main bash... but for some of the teams to get-together and throw our own a J body car show...
looking at jbo's mid east region on the map... the central spot is Ohio/WV border... so neither indy nor mich is central by any means at all...
why is the bash always only the east region? what about the rest of the United states
that i cant answer... considering the owner of this site lives in cali...
though the whole sport compact tuning scene is moving from west coast back to east....
SEMA is coming here, NOPI has always been here, and USDM markets are looking more to major areas on the east coast now... a lot of real sponsorship potential...
times are changing...

whats up with yer car.... its looks like a Lotuscortalier jk
Shush Weasel..i want my shirley temple
and we all know GM sucks major @!#$ at making decisions
Well the main reason for the Bash being towards this side of the country is because the East Coast and expecially the Eastern part of Canada is big on Domestics while the West is big on Imports. There are many more people that will make it to the Show if it was in the Eastern Part.
Lordstown is also in Ohio and J Bodies were made there so it made since that it went there. For Example Tim moved the show to STL 2 years ago and the attendence went down. Too far for the Canadians to drive I guess.
I have told TIm I don't care where the Bash is at I will drive to it. I tried to get him to have it in Las Vegas.
Heck this is probably the biggest show for you. You should do what ever it takes to make it to this show. heck i just went to Slammin & Jammin in Lebanon, TN and that is a 6 hour drive for me.
Plus if you haven't seen it there are always J Body meets that local states do. I know that WV and Kentucky people do.
Yeah, be a good sport & just go. Besides, "XsTrEmE-Delusions(CensorThis!)",
if your motor has 150K miles on it, why are you spending all that $$$ on
exterior mods? Couldn't you have bought a killer rebuilt 3.1 by now with all
that $$$? Just a thought to kick around. & also, on a side note, I just rolled
over to 101K Miles on my Z24, (not to mention the new 2.4 I have sitting
on an Engine Stand ready to go in just in case) & I have attended 4 STRAIGHT
Bashes in a row. I will be attending my 5th this year. Suck it up & go to the bash.
LOL, Geez.

once again i never said to move the bash, but one for the states i listed above...
I fully agree with the statement that GM Sucks ass at making decisions... look at its 2005 model line... ....... .......... ................ ............ =P
Anyway it was just an idea ... and honestly... considering there is one other domestic on my team and thats a Mopar... the biggest show for me is gonna be Nopi Nationals...
At slam session (one of dropjawmag's shows) a first gen cavi took first in underconstruction car wild ... so the js are getting respect at shows natorious for imports...
oh well... it was a thought
