It's a mostly-stock 1999 Sunfire GT with 51k miles. It's green exterior on a tan interior with a 5-speed manual transmission. It has all the options with A/C that blows cold, sunroof, steering wheel audio controls, power windows, door locks, keyless entry, etc... It has the rear spoiler with the dual exhaust. It had a major inspection about 15k miles ago. Over $1000 put into the car. The car has a set of 2004 Z24 16" chrome wheels on it now. I will include a set of 16" 2000 Z24 wheels with snow tires on them as well. I have a Carfax for the car which shows the clean title. Email at bebes2k@hotmail.com for more information and pictures. Thanks, Bill. Located in Wixom, MI 48393.
ive got a heavily modded talon if youd be interested in trade...?
hey, not to be a dick, yor cars nice and all, but you need to lower your price about $4000 before your ganna get anyone on here to bite....i can go out and buy a new 04 for the same price your trying to sell yours for.....when i sell my talon, ill give you 4 grand for the car if youve still got it.
i might be missing something...but where is the price on that??
8000, hes got it in the classifeids also.
BlackWidowCravy, also not to be a dick, take a look on AutoTrader.com for a 99 GT with 51k miles and you tell me what the average price is...sure ain't 4000.
I obviously know what a fair price is, and I also know the price I will take for this car. It doesn't matter what the asking price is anyway. That's just to deter all deadbeats who want to offer me nothing in exchange for a low miles, mainly stock, great daily driver.
I'm definately open to all resonable offers, altough 4000 is too low for me.
Thanks, Bill.
whats with all these people thinking j bodies have resale value all of a sudden?

actually Bill, a better site to find out how much your car is worth would be Kelley Blue Book, not auto trader. Your car in a private party sale is only worth $4,200 in good condition and $4,600 if it is in excellent condition. Kelley Blue Book finds out how much your car is worth in private party, trade-in value and retail from a dealer. It also uses your zip code to find out the demand in the value of cars, prices of cars do vary on where your live...nice car, but not $8,000 nice.
yeah, your looking at dealer price there on the autotrader, they like to jack up the price of cars way over what there worth in order to rape you.
Actually i went on to Auto Trader to find this $8,000 that this Sunfire is suposively worth. Well i didnt come up with it, i came up with a different price. i went to Auto Trader, Sell my car, then i clicked on the NADA what's my car worth link. it asked what the car was, its NOT a sports car, its a passenger car. Then it gives you a list of cars, you choose the make, year and model (pontiac, sunfire, Coupe 2D GT). then you put in the miles, and options it has. it says through a car dealer the car is worth $6,150. Average retail of the car by itself is $5,225 through dealer....you are not a dealer. Add $600 for the 51,000 miles, its a manual so it says you subtract $275. power windows add $75, cruise control dont know if you have it but that adds $50. Aluminum wheels add $50, sunroof add $275. by the time they show you their work what they added and subtracted which obviously is not a precise price, they didnt even ask the CONDITON of the car!!!! NADA says Trade-in value is $4,725. They dont even give you a price quote for private party which is what you are doing. So Bill if you could explain how you figured your SUNFIRE is worth $8,000 it would be greatly appreciated. thanx
Thanks for all the investigative work there...
Not once did I say the car was worth $8000, that's just an asking price. I'm also not trying to get $8000 for the car. I know that price is on the high side even of retail prices. I looked at both KBB and Nada before I looked at AutoTrader as well and was fully aware of how the prices differed. Book value doesn’t necessarily dictate market value so I decided to pay more attention to market value, ie AutoTrader. With the amount of miles that this car has, I believe that this car can sell for $7000, and therefore an asking price of $8000 doesn't seem too ridiculous to me. But then again, my opinion may be skewed considering I am selling the car!
I appreciate all input.
Thanks, Bill.
if u get 8 grand for that car without sucking someone off, i would be shocked.

I thought manta green was discontinued in 98? you got the vin on that car to verify build year? or at least post up the 10th digit?
ask 8000...geez.... i'm not even sure youd get the 4200 out of it. you can, but keep in mind theres 1000000 of them
