Hey there, I have a 2000 Z24 black Cavalier and feel like I am going to have to sell it. I don't want to, but it seems that there are things that keep going wrong. I would rather sell it to a J-body person and someone that knows about them rather than someone that knows nothing and will not take care of it. When you get on it the transmission slips. I keep installing batteries in it and they die. There is some kind of electrical problem that is causing the battery to die. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I am not sure what I will let it go for, but more than likely will sale it. It is my baby and has been ever since I drove it off the dealership lot. It has been lowered two inches, 17 inch Tenzo R wheels, two twelves and a 300 watt memphis amp in the trunk. If interested I will try to send some pics. I am in the Garner/Raleigh area of NC.
Why not fix it? Electrical problem is probably something simple.
If I knew how or even what was wrong, I would. My boyfriend said he knew nothing about electrical problems on cars.

oo I want those rims... maybe there is an electrical issue with tranny causing it to slip AND drain battery?

Have you checked the alternator? That would explain the burning of batteries. and I am going to agree... I'm wanting the rims and lip

I am not selling her for parts. I will get some interior pics this weekend when I am not working. I am not able to do anything with it b/c before whatever problems I had with it, my boyfriend would fix them. We are no longer together after being together for 7 years.
That sucks. Well ill try my best to give ya any knowledge to help fix it up. Bust out the tools chic. Time to get greasy lol
