Well, I was cruising the strip after taking the wife to the movies tonight, and I decided to turn my strobes on,they are mounted in the head lights and tail lifghts and in the interior. I heard my radar detector beeping so I shut them off. My wife is freaking out by the way!HAHA! After it stoped for about 30 seconds my dumb ass turns them back on just for spite towards the wife. Well, I was pulled over and the cop ask's me if Im in the military, i answered yes, and thankfully he let me off and just told me to get rid of them! Shew, close one eh?

So basically you knew it was illegal, but you were stupid enough to turn them back on? Why do you need "cop lights" anyways? Just something for people to point and laugh about (especially when they are pointing and laughing because you're being pulled over.)

it's reasons like this why with myself having a legitament need for strobes in my personal vehicals thats the dmv rejects my permit for strobes

the irony of it all: we cant have red or blue neons 'cause its "impersonating an officer", yet you can buy a retired Police Interceptor from auction, STILL packing the black accessories, huge spotlight, and modified engine.. yet a Cavalier with blue neons in impersonating.. go figure

Most all of the UB lighting comes down to knowing the exact law. In TN the law only states that lighting is illegal if deemed distracing to other motorists. There is no official illegal color. I have been pulled over for noise voilation before and politely asked the cop about the lighting and he said it was ok. I have also been pulled over before just for the lights. I now mostly ride around with the UB on multi mode and haven't had any problems in the past month or so.
Wow, I am going to have to get a motor vehicle law book and check into this. But pretty much, i know it is illegal, I guess thats why I like it so much.

every state, every county, and every town has their own laws.. you just gotta get the inside of what you can have and what you cant.. I been pulled over twice for my exhaust, to which the cop has told me that ANYTHING other than stock is illegal, even tho I'd pass an emissions test with flying colors..

ive been pulled over for exhaust to. cop said the diameter of my exhaust was to big. back when i had the giant fart can on my car lol.
i got pulled over for something else but they gave me a ticket for my exhaust instead its happened twice now i jus keep my exhaust on there if its going to get me out of other tickets lol
