When you do a P&P on a TB you also have to increase the size of the butterfly valve plates. Actually John H. and myself were talking about this the other day, what size do you want to port you TB to? Are you coming to the meet this weekend for more then 5 mins? Are you going to the track Saturday?
Chris
I want to match the TB to my RSM manifold so 62mm. Sorry about the last meet I stopped in and really didn't talk to anyone had a lot on my mind that day. I wont be going to the track as I'm going to shoot down to the
Street Warriorz thing.
Also Chris I met your roommate today at Ultimate, pretty cool guy looks like they may be doing some custom stuff for me.
BTW is anyone interested in caravaning from the Ocala area to Bradenton?
Actually that is Chris Notke's roommate he is the guy with the 02 black bomex cavy. I am Chris Winstel I have the 99 black cavy with silver flames. For an N/A application 62mm is way big! I found out this first had and stepped down to a 57mm. Just my 2 cents and yes I am running the RSM manifold also.
As for street warriorz you might want to get in touch with Suncavi he might be going to it.
Chris
Talk to Tommy @ Powerhouse Machine, 867-5766, across from the Livestock Pavilion. He's the one that does all the head work there, mostly V8 stuff though. I P&Ped mine my self, but he did the valve work for me. They are very busy, so your best bet is to get a core to have the work done, and then swap it out, unless your willing to wait.
Just tell him Jack-Fred (don't ask!
) with the green Cavalier sent you.
Cool, that place is real close to my house thanks Jack-Fred.
Chris I'm not staying N/A for very long at all so I think 62 should be ok. I hope so anyway.
If you can find any info on a GM production vehicle with a single butterfly 60mm and up stock TB we might be able to do something.
