I just got a call from the Old man and my 2004 Cavalier Eco 5 speed just arrived for my swap to begin

Well I've got a dual exhaust setup, 2 Magnaflows with a Y-pipe which starts just before the rear axle. Some control arms with poly bushings already pressed in, umm...some silver M3 mirrors that'd look pretty sweet on there...ummm...that's all i can think of right now I'll post more of what I can remember haha

nice ride... i love the body styling of the 00-02 sunfire GT, definitely the best stock look in my opinion, but i'm also rather biased

i have owed way too many 2.4 LD9 FTL i want a maitnance free driver. thats what the eco will do

Re: Here is my new project car

oh, it's a dd? nevermind then. i don't mind them for daily driving.

and your LD9's obviously weren't built, were they?

Re: Here is my new project car

^^ my 2.4 was bone stock and ran 15.11@90.95 i would never spend money building a 4 banger its never going to be fast

Re: Here is my new project car

that's not entirely true. They certainly do have potential but too many people just love to overlook the thought of a fast and light "4 banger" and jump the gun when they see a chevy small block (which in most cases won't break 12's...or even 13's for that matter)......and then you've got your 5.0L fox body's....which i'm not even going to start on. Don't get me wrong, i love mustangs and they can haul ass for a small amount of money....but they just remind me of fat old white men. Main reason i'll never drive a Cady truck. But goddamn would i ever hump a CTS if i had the chance

And no i wasn't confusing Ford with Chevy. i just classify all muscle v8's in the same category.....which is where the rant came from....but now it's sleep time.

I had a 1972 Chev Nova that ran 11.3 on a very mild small block and and now in the middle of building another 1972 nova full tube chassis will run mid 8s. lets see your 4 banger do that for the price i am putting into my cars.

bang for the buck V8 wins.

i said MOST not ALL v8's don't break 12's.

and i agreed with you that bang for buck v8 wins hands down. No contest there. i've got a 68' fast back mustang i helped my dad re-build and i love the thing to death, just i don't like what they are associated with (in my head, mind you) that when in doubt and you don't really klnow what you're doing...buy a carb v8. To me it's just TOO easy. I like challenges, no offence at all to you.....this is just my opinion though. take it with a gain of salt.

do you have pictures of your nova? I'd like to see this beast of a carb. I'll send stang pics your way if interested.

Not wanting to argue with u cuz i do understand what ur saying atho i felt the need to reply lol....I just thought this statement was sorta dumb "i said MOST not ALL v8's don't break 12's."........Cuz in response ne one can say "most 4 banger dont make 12's" I know its impossible to tell but if i had to guesstimate i'd say there's more v8 under 12 than 4 bangers....

remember NOT trying to argue....just wanted to correct your statement....

hell, like 80% of inline4's don't break 12's lol
