Does anybody know if a blocked off EGR valve will fail an emissions test? I will be going in next week and I have no idea what to expect.
does it throw any codes? newer j's don't have an egr valve i believe. i only have to take one vehicle ever in for emissions (others are registered in counties away from Milwaukee/Racine area), but they plug in to the obd2 and read it and thats it. by the time they have me sit down they're already done.

Ugh dammit thats what I figured. I throw the code. I do have an obd II scanner, so if I just erased the code when I got there, would it still fail if the code is pending?
i would think they would be smart enough to look at freeze frames and determine that you have a pending egr code and no egr flow.
