Lets all get together for one last track day at GLD on the 20th. Im thinking we should make it a all day thing. Grill out and such. The 20th is a fun day and they are open from 10am to 5pm.
If anyone that thinks they are coming has a shelter like this could they please bring it, it makes a big difference for those not racing if it happens to be really sunny out.

Unfortunately, the car is back at my parent's house in Medford. I've been busy with college here in EC and haven't had time to get home and work on the car. It needs a new subframe, new tranny mounts welded in, as well as a few other things before it will be driveable again. And the supercharger is actually for sale. Looks like I'm going to go turbo. So unfortunately, it won't be seeing the track at all this year. Unless by some miracle I get the rtanny in and fixed before the the last track date this year, I may give the 'ol s/c another run. We'll see. But if you plan on going to Rock Falls, def. let me know. I'd be up to going just to watch. I'm not that far away.

Its not GLD, everyone knows all the fast cars (in racing forum) race at GLD! I would HOPE a 2.2 E-CON-O-TEC with a M62 could hit 13's....... if i NA cavalier with a LD9, like yours, can do 14.7...
, unless the quad is really a better motor......

also i just picked me up a 90 2.3 ho motor, u could use one of those early 2.3 t/b's with the coolant flowing against them in hopes that it would cool it, yet im guessing it does the opposite hence they removed that idea. idk

I hope it does, its all traction issues that im having, the car is definately fast enough its just i cant get the power to the ground, that should change tho, I hot the hoosiers now to run instead of street tires, next yeat for sure I will be going to GLD to meet up with some of you guys and hang out.
my GTZ had that..... i got rid of the TB heater, ( keeps it from frosting.. well thats the idea) becarefull with that motor, it has a diffrent CPS sensor angle... call me at work some time if you want to know more, at around 5 ish so its slow, 262-549-1000, ask for chris in parts.

stroker was the thought, but i just picked it up cuz i had the money and who can pass up a 2.3 ho for $159 at the u pull
i mostly needed the cams and valve springs for my 2.4 right now, but i now have 3 2.4s and this 2.3 so i have plenty of stuff to play with and may build a stroker still, we'll see.
also dont all 2.3's have a diff angle on the cps than 2.4's, i havent really looked too deep into all yrs and differences but ill give u a call sometime thanks man
no, 91.5 and older SHOULD have the same angle as a 2.4........ the 90-91 RP computer is set up for that CPS, my 92 GTZ dosent run so good with 60* of timing.....

Well i was looking at the weather forecast and it looks like the 20th has some expected showers. I will keep and eye on it and if it doesnt look good we may have to move it to sunday.

sounds good man, should be a fun time. what have you ran so far this year? 15.2 is my best so far, that was before the clutch, flywheel and lsd. also before the lowering springs but im not sure if that would really make a difference.
