I've got a cylinder head off a 99-01 2200 OHV cylinder head that I'm putting some work into. I bought the head with a crack off one of the exhaust ports (not to the port), but was able to pin the crack and get the head to seal. I have also polished the exhaust ports and combustion chambers so far, but I do plan on a little port work on the intake runners and a valve job, along with surfacing the exhaust manifold side and deck surface of the head before assembly. I'd like to get $200 for it if anyone is interested. PM me with any further questions and I can provide pics as soon as the head is done. Thanks for your interest.

I will also have a crankshaft I'm going to grind the rods and mains stock, unless anyone is looking for a custom rod journal/stroke difference. And the casting will be ground to bare metal and polished. If anyone has tried different stroke combinations, some input would be nice, but I think I'm going to try a destroke with a 2.4L rod and stock pistons. I do have a complete engine from a 96 GMC Sonoma that I'm parting out. That's where this stuff is coming from. If any of you are looking for a good deal on core parts, feel free to PM or leave a post. I work in a machine shop in Woodville that has a good selection on GM FWD cores, including 2.4L, 3.1/3.4L (and we do have some VIN X DOHC 3.4L parts), and 3.8L Gen 2 and 3. Thanks for reading!

If anyone is at all interested in my head, furthest development is the head is finally complete. The head has been shaved on the exhaust manifold side and head surface was shaved to the minimum thickness, which 5.305, to bring the compression up. The installed stem height was perfect on the intake valves and the exhaust valves were brought down, they both are .005" below recommended height to prevent any fitment problems with the rockers/pushrods/lifters. Plus like i said before, the head has been pinned because of a crack, plus ported and polished and will work excellent for all motor applications, but if planning on running a turbo, I highly recommend using dished pistons to keep the compression low.
To add to this, I am looking for donor intake manifolds from 2.2L OHV engine, preferably between 95-98 because of EGR issues and they aren't self cooled. If any of you would like to ditch your stock intake, I'll gladly take these off your hands if you don't need them anymore. I have come up with a design for a custom intake that is very cheap to make, but of the same quality you can get from VENOM. All it requires is the lower half of the manifold and some cutting and welding. Thanks a bunch and I'm greatly appreciative.
