Dam Milwaukee cops have nothing better to do then pull me over for speeding. my speedo only said 35MPH this cop said i was doing 44MPH and it was in a 30MPH zone she was so lying. and shes like yea my laser on the car told me that. IT WAS WRONG

haha things are so weird in Wisconsin. 35 in a 30 is nothing, cops in Illinois and Indiana wouldn't give 2 cents worth. Hell, 40 in a 30 you would most possibly get a break. I was pulled over for 47 in a 30 (and I do NOT condone speeding in residential and school zone areas....) and the cop let me go...not even a written or harsh verbal warning.
Heck, I just got back from Indiana, and a friend of mine was doing a 50 in a 30, a cop passed her going to opposite way. I've been told a standard for speeding tickets in some states, is that cops have to wait till you are at least going on an avg. 7mph over the speed limit.
I hope you're going to fight the ticket, because I am pretty sure the judge will mostl likely just make the fine cheaper. I, personally, do not have a good liking of Milwaukee cops at all due to personal experiences that I will not mention here. Heck, I got harassed for a simple j-walking during a quiet day on campus (only one car was on the road at the time traveling at like 25mph). A $54 ticket...now dropped to $27.00 for court costs.
NOTICE: I do not condone speeding or street racing...I recognize your actions are treatable by good reward and bad consequence by your faults. I;m just stating how odd Wisconsin cops are compared to the cops I'm used to growing up with in Illinois and Indiana.
well the only way your gonna get off or get reduced is if A) you fight it and the cop doesn't show to the court date, or B) you go have your speedo checked and it is faulty.
but still to admit you were speeding regardless, makes this thread nothing more then you bitchin about something you deserved in the first place.

I've done around 10 over past cops plenty of times ( 50 in a 40, 60 in a 50...and so on)and have not gotten a ticket. Wisconsin/Milwaukee cops aren't that bad.

I think that it all depends on the cop that pulls you over and what kinda mood they're in and things like that. Also State Troopers really suck. There soul job is writing out tickets for traffic violations. At least city and county cops do other things besides traffic violations.
yeah i noticed jbo is a bad place to complain about tickets just for future refrence ..everyone will just say you desirved it and shouldnt complain until they get one then they will come and complan, just thought you should know how it works on here, nothing personal

How do you know that you're speedo isn't wrong?
Why didn't you ask to see the radar?
You better hope your speedo is off. They'll drop it if it is (5mph off or more I believe). Otherwise you never sked to see the radar,...so your word vs. the cops. Guess who wins.
the cop used some new radar with a lazer or somthin.

ive gotten more tickets that i can count with my hands and feet and no i dont have a licence and dont knwo when ill get it back and the pigs are @!#$ predjudice of sport compacts around here cant help it but im not changing my car for them so i just deal with it ive never complained about any of my tickets on here

yea you definately should have asked to see the radar. Everytime I've been pulled over I always ask very politely to see the radar and have never been looked weird by the cop or refused. If the temperature had fluctuated 15 degrees throughout the day, the radar, yes...even the new lasers, can be off and need to be re-calibrated.
Good luck with the ticket tho, go n fight it...not like it'll cost you anymore than the ticket now.

Heck thats nothing, I was driving around im MN. and the speed limit was 40. well i was @!#$in around and i was doin '55' but he locked me in at 53 so it was a 133 dollar ticket, the next day one of my buds had to take a @!#$ really @!#$in bad. and he was doin 90 in a 55. in MN of course. Well that ticket was a 380 dollar ticket, MN is gay for speeding tickets. Dont get me wrong my MN brothers, i dont blame it on you, i just blame it on your cops
thats weird man. milwaukee cops wont even touch you if your going 15 over the limit. unless its on a low speed road like the one you were on.

i got really lucky a coulple of weeks ago when a cop pulled me over doing 95 in a 45.. he gave me a verbal warning!!!! all he asked me was where you going? why you out so late?(1:30am) and why the hell are you driving so fast??? i was going to eat adn i had no idea why i was going so fast is what i said adn he said... well slow down and buckle up(i wasn't buckled) then he turned around and left... best time ever!!!
so lets see here, u were 5 mph over the limit anywayz, you got pulled over by a Police Officer DOING THEIR JOB and then you got a ticket......I fail to see where the problem lies, do u get mad when people bitch because you are doing your job, no I don't think so......just pay the ticket and watch your speed from now on, simple lesson to be learned
