2006 NAIAS head count
Tuesday, October 18, 2005 3:55 PM
As some of you may already know, I moved from Minnesota to Michigan. I have talked about in the past about having a trip to the NAIAS in detoirt. Well, the thought is still in my head, and I'd just like to get a head count of people that could make it, IF it happens this year. Wether people would like to drive or fly its up to you, but do realize that all I have is a 2 door cavalier and my gf may be kind enough to use her car.

Again, this is only a head count on who and who can not go. Nothing is set in stone, it just just a brewing thought, for now

Sorry, but I forgot to add something. It will be going on from Jan 14th thought the 22nd, from my past experience going later in the dates, will be the best. All of the cars should be shown. They display things in a weird way, certian cars are debued a certian date and so forth. Trust me, this is almost more than a 1 day activity. Me and Ashley (my gf) spend about 6 hours looking at cars, and we didnt even look at them all

For those that will be flying, tickets will run about 256.00 From MLPS to Detroit Round Trip. Dates are Jan. 19 - 22. I only threw these dats out fromthe top of my head.

If anybody has any questions, let me know via e-mail .. or the thread will be just fine as well.

For those that dont know how "big" this is. This is an exact quote taken from the site

"73 exhibitors with more than 1 million square feet of exhibits, including 250,000 sq. ft. in second-story displays.

In 2005 the Specialty Vehicle Showcase continued to grow adding a new dimension to the show. The 20,000-square foot specialty display included a select group of OEMs showcasing the latest in niche vehicles and the hot, new trend in vehicle customization and personalization."

Also, if anybody else wants to come, feel free to speak up. I do know a person from WI that constantly joins mn-j meets when he is able. And another one that joined us for the pre-bash. Also, depends on how many people will come. I will be willing to make extra room in my apartment for the weekend, or how ever long people want to stay. Getting a hotel would be too much money.

Well, there are many options. There is atleast one other thing that I have in mind and that would be the Dream Cruise. Which is in August, I think.
