LD9 or Eco Engine needed
Saturday, April 04, 2009 10:46 PM
I spun a bearing on my 2000 z24 this winter, and i'm just getting around to having it fixed. So i need to either find an ld9 engine to have dropped in, or i need to find an eco engine and tranny to swap. If anybody has either or knows where i can get one, please let me know. Thanks.

my dad and i can build you one.

sucks the motor blew already though... but it was a junkyard engine so i guess you get what you pay for.

pm sent back.

i already got a guy that said he would do the swap, i know him and everything and he does good work so thats the route i'm gonna go, thanks though brad.

more than likely i'm just gonna do the swap, whatever it ends up being, then try to sell the car and get something new for college.

actually, let me know how much you think it would cost to rebuild it if you want to brad. cost of labor, rebuild kit, etc.

i'm trying to go the most cost effective route for now, since i'm not sure how long i'll have the car.

yes, out of curiosity how much would it cost for you to rebuild an engine?

i can do it in a month for around 2k in parts. and thats all brand new parts. i just rebuilt my 96 GAGT 2.4 minus pistons n rods, plus the accessories and fuel pump for under 3k. and thats paintin everythin too. i have a 2.4 head thats prolly still good and i would sell u for $200 if it checks out. i have a block too but id like to keep that as i also have a 2.3 im gonna tear apart and mix with it. if u want to pull the motor urself i can rebuild the motor in maybe a week once the parts r in. depend on whats still good tho too. 2k would b high estimate. and prolly $1000 -1200 in labor.

i would say a completely bone stock rebuild- your looking at around a grand. then if you want any go fast goodies or special stuff it only goes up from there.
