i found a good deal on a tranny and i'm probly pickin it up next week. a mechanic i know wants $350 to put it in. should i just let him do it for that or is it simple enough to do in the driveway in a day or two?? i jus want to make sure im not over-looking any major obstacles here.. pull off wheels and axles, disconnect shift linkage and hydraulic clutch lines, disconnect sensors, unbolt from motor and one tranny mount. my throw-out bearing/slave cylinder is only 3 months old so i'll probly be puting that on the new tranny too. any input here is greatly appreciated guys.

that price isn't bad. Its not ridiculously hard. There's 2 bellhousing bolts on the back side that kinda suck to remove. You have to drop the subframe a bit to get it out which is a few more bolts. It's not hard, more just having the place to do it. I wouldn't do it in a driveway, too cold outside for me to spend a few hours fiddling with a car
