Fiberglassed/molded this myself as at the time I was in need of another gauge, but have since changed my mind. I have a little time wrapped into making it look factory, with the exception of my alarm LED.
It has been coated with undercoating to provide a factory texture, then painted with SEM graphite interior paint. The paint is just slightly lighter than the factory graphite, so I'll be including the bottom portion also as I'm picky and painted it too. Like I said, you could never tell once installed, and some armor-all darkened them up perfectly.
There is a hole where I flush mounted my red alarm LED indicator, in which I'll be including a brand new LED with.
NOTE: I wanted the piece to be as flush as possible, and not block the factory gauges. At my height I could still see the speedo/tach perfectly, with the exception of maybe 0-500 RPMs. I keep my tilt kept pretty much in the middle, but warning, the column will no longer tilt all the way up without the pod hitting the bezel behind it. Really nothing I could do about that, but I never move my column so no huge deal to me.
Onto the pics-
Mocked up-
Price-
$40+shipping without gauge (pod to cut up and mold costed me $20 from Autozone+time+materials)
$60+shipping with brand new Autometer Ultra-Lite Boost/Vacuum gauge (steal! gauge was $60 alone, I just want both gone)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Next up is a 2.4l turbo manifold, purchased from the canadian seller on eBay,
this auction here. Jason (qwik2k2z24) has been using this manifold for almost a year now without any issues what-so-ever and can attest to it. I waited almost a month and it just now showed up.
As said, it's brand new, I opened it to make sure it was the 2.4l manifold, and closed it back up.
I paid $195 shipped, will sell for
$185 shipped. I eat shipping+$10, you benefit from the same manifold and quick shipping. I had them put this auction up/make this manifold for me.
I like the bezel I am just not sure about the angle of the gauge. It looks like it is pointed up towards the roof a litle more than the than the instrument cluster hehind it. Is there any way you could trim it so that the gauge sits at the same angle as the insrument cluster? If you can I will gladly buy it with or without the gauge it does not matter to me. I have the money so get back to me on this.
By the way I wanted to say props on the quality job. Doing things like painting and including the bottom half giving it the same texture to match the interior makes a huge difference in the end result.

FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
Thanks for the props. It might be slightly more angled than the cluster, though when mocked up it looked mint as I did factor that in. Suppose it has to do with where the column was at that time. No idea. I did also angle it like such for the boost gauge fitting/line could clear everything with ease and without any kinks. When sitting the car the gauge looked right at me. As for changing angle, eh, better off starting fresh than modding one that's finished.
Thanks for inquiring though
.
It does look like the colum is tilted up a litle in the pics. Is it still installed or could you snap me a few more pics with the colum tilted one notch down. I do not mean to be so anal about it. I spose I could always just buy it and if I do not like it resell it. What size gauge is that?
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
Sorry I uninstalled it yesterday and put my factory pieces back in. Guess all you can do is trust me that it looks good, and as said I prefer to sell it with gauge to get them both gone. Considering the gauge costed me $60, pod $20, plus the time and materials.....$60+shipping is a steal. The gauge is your standard 2
1/16" gauge.
I will buy it with the gauge. If I do not like it I will sell it for the same price. Let me know how much with ground shipping to Des Moines IA 50317. I prefer to send payment through paypal is this cool? If so what email addy should I send it to?
