I'm new here. I have a 97 2.2 5 speed cav
What are the bolt on parts that I can buy to upgrade my cav? I know nothing about cavaliers I just bought my first one a week ago.
You can do an intake, but make sure the parts are for the ln2 (which was only 95-97 for the 3rd gen Jbody) in 98, the intake would be different.
You can do a header, and exhaust. But really, these won't net much in gains5-10hp at most. You can do more solid engine mounts, and trans mounts, and control arm bushings. This helps stiffen things up. You can lower the car with shocks and lower springs to improve handling. Rear sway bar makes a big difference in handling. You'll have to get an alignment after installing suspension.
