Ok, so I have a stock 2002 cavalier 5 speed ecotec engine. I want 160-170 to the wheels and this is my plan from what I have research. Any idea how much will this gain me? Any other advices or changes I should make to my plan. Thank you.
* Parcertter coated header
* 2.25 in.mandrel exhaust system
* 2.25 in. magnaflow cat
* 2.25 in. magnaflow resonator 18cm.
* 2.25 in. Borla turbo muffler
* Ebay intake with K&N filter
* Level Zero Motorsports Upper/Lower engine mounts
2200? gona need alot more than that to make 160whp
my mods list included cams, injectors, mounts, intake manifold swap, header, professional tune etc etc etc etc and it made 162 whp with an ecotec...

No sir, its a 2.2 ecotec any idea how much will I get with this mods?
with mounts, LSJ exhaust manifold, AEM CAI, a tune and an exhaust cutout i made 134whp and 138wtq on a dynojet dyno. Car ran a 14.58 @ 91mph too.

you ran a 14.5 with only 137 WHP... something doesn't add up there... 137 should net you low 16s/ high 15s
weight reduction?
Im pretty sure they dyno around 130hp bone stock
im pretty sure the LD9 dynos around 137 bone stock and runs low 16s... thats why i find it hard to see 137 = a 14.5 run...
So if it is around 125-130 to the wheels? anyone knows how much will it be with the mods I have plan.
LD9's and Eco's dyno around 129-130 stock. I ran 14.8 on 138whp. No weight reduction either.
Still for the OP you will need more mods than what you posted to get 160-170whp. Cams, and good tuning.

kyle, paul's car is basically a straight up race car if i remember correctly. so yes ont he weight reduction. besides how can you say that power doesn't warrant those times? nobody thought that 13's were possible with under 170 hp either but newt proved that theory wrong.
Does anyone know of a tuned shop with HPtunners at florida.

this at least.
full exhaust
intake
le5 manifold
stage 2 or 3 cams (may affect how streetable the car is)
tuning
a real, real good header
underdrive crank pulley
short shifter/b+m shift kit
upper and lower engine mounts
tranny mounts/mount
larger injectors
all that to start with at least.
after that if you still want some n/a fun you could start looking into
p+p head (not some redneck job either, someone that actually knows what they're doing)
exhaust megaphone
intake velocity stack,
and well really the sky's the limit.
check out this thread if you want some n/a help for your eco

Where can I get a complete le5 manifold kit Please. Does anyone know a site?
i think it's summitracing.com that offers it all as a kit.
but if you jump on cobaltss.net you could probly find one fairly quick.
also every once in awhile on ebay there's a few, but you have to make sure especially if buying from a seller that sounds just basically like a junkyard that they actually have the 2.4 manifold and it's not just the 2.2. sometime's they're stupid.
also, check the classifieds on here, check your local junkyard,
i would do everything i could before buying one from summit as they charge a ridiculous amount. all you'd need after the actual manifold is a tb adaptor i think.
you should realistically be able to get the le5 on your car for under a 100 bucks. but then you also need larger injectors and a tune.
Yeah I have the green injectors because I got them free, but i cant find a shop that work with hptunners at florida.

Crateenginedepot.com also carries them. They also sell just the throttle body adapter if you find the mani elsewhere. I see some turn up on ebay and craigslist a lot.

only thing gutted at that point was interior carpet and rear seats...still had a passenger seat lol
i went on to run a 14.0 with 162whp and more weight reduction on my current mods. IMO mid to high 14s are 100% doable with a stock 5spd ecotec.
good luck with your build man, ull find out fast that its not hard to squeeze some decent power/times out of a bolt on N/A ecotec
