i was wondering if it is possible to swap a 00 2200 head on to a pre 97 block with the whole wiring harness and fuel injection from the 2200? and my other question is will my compression go up or down or will it not work at all? Antoine Holmeslease help im trying to figure out how to get my race car running
It will go way down if you go that route.
thats what i thought it was

Seriously? Man, my mom's '80 Olds 260 (4.3L) V-8 pwr'd Cutlass was 7.5:1... And I thought
that was low for an OHV engine! Of course, it should be kept in-mind that that engine was designed for minimum emissions & smooth operation while achieving max fuel-mileage. And it yet it produced less HP than a LN2... Funny. Oh, well! At least with that low of compression on a N/A-engine, you can run 87-octane without worry!
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
