ok so heres the deal i have a complete 90 olds that i cant do anything with with good motor and trans and a 2200 ohv 02 cavi that needs to go faster for auto cross next year. now besides mounts (i have all mounts for the motor to set in and work) what all should i need to pull this swap off? both cars are 5 speed i know the cables in the cavi now will work fine with the trans on the Q4 just need to know about what ECU and wire harness ill need. thanks
Use a 2.4 harness and PCM. Then get HPT.
hi, i'm new to this forum and never swapped quad4 but i'm planning some kind of swap with my 1990 ho beretta
at first my engine is a tired 199000km 140psi compression on3 and probably head cracked on the 4th cyl.
i have the entire car and it still runs
the other part is my new inmate: 1999 z-24 with bad tranny
now i'm wondering does my 2.3 is worth putting in the z-24 or just camshafts/oil pump
can someone tell me if there is too much lift on ho cams for the 2.4
should i get a 1995 2.3 head and put together with my ho
after that how can i tune it to have stoich air/fuel??fuel regulator?injectors(other than ford 2.3turbo)
and also does the cavalier axleshafts will fit beretta tranny, will i have lenght issues?
everybody at my job say i'm losing time with such two bad cars but i still believe i got 2 good candidates for one fun car
please comment and tell me what all 2.3 posts didn't

DO NOT USE STOCK WIRING.. USE THE COMPUTER AND COMPLETE WIRING HARNESS FROM UR 90 MOTOR.. ITS CHEAPER AND JUST AS EASY TO INSTALL..

Check your local laws. It may be illegal to swap an ODB1 engine into an OBD2 car.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
do NOT use the stock wiring harness and pcm. and do NOT put the 1990 transmission that came with the quad in a Jbody, it wont mount up or hook up properly.
you can use the engine, IF you grab a 1995 Z24 alternator, the transmission from a 2000+ 2.4 , and youll probably want the pcm and harness from the 2k+ car as well.
