Dear JBO,
I hope I dont get flamed for this post but I really help! I trying to hook up a vac gauge on my 2200L motor and I have no idea where I can find a vac line or what one even looks like. I been searching JBO for a picture... No luck! The diagrams I found is like trying to read arabic and I really need to find this hose. Can anyone help me? Second issue... I accidently cut what I guess would be a fuel line off my FPR. Would I be able to use a hose connector and clamps to reconnect it or should I find a new hose? If I have to get a new hose where could I find one and how much would it cost? Sorry in advance for my lack of knowledge... Thats why I leave it to the pros...
Jay Dubb first off, CALM THE @!#$ DOWN!!!
lol
second of all, @!#$ happens if you get flamed by people they are morons.
Im not sure about the vac line, but as far as the FPR you should be able to get away with a high pressure fuel hose and strong clamps. but if I was you i would just replace the lines its cheap at junk yards and brand new. Tell me if you need any more help.
Good luck, and posting a pic of your said issue would help
I agree...post a pic of the part you cut. also as far as vacuum you can tee off of any of the vacuum lines attached to the throttle body.
Thanks a lot Torres and Zs... Zs: Im about 50 miles away from my car right now but if I explain to you what hose I cut then maybe you can tell me how stupid I was for cutting it lol... Ok... if your looking under the hood at the 2200L motor (front bumper facing your knees)... dead center where the head is and the opening for the big hose that leads to the air box... right below it would be I guess the starter and the fuel rail... (correct me if I'm wrong)... right behind there, slightly to the right, there are two hoses that have these rectangular little clips on each end im guessing those are the fuel feeds to the motor... I cut the one closest to the top of the motor... when I did that some fuel started to leak out... I didnt cut all the way through it... I just stopped when I saw the gas.. IDK... But thanks again for everything... I'll try to google some pics of the throttle body so I can see what these vac lines look like so I dont end up cutting something else I shouldn't be cutting...
Im not a hundred percent sure that I know the exact hose your talking about but it does sound like a main fuel line. It may need replacing.
I am posting 2 pics of a 2200 throttle body. you can see the nipples in the pictures, any of those should provide a good vacuum source.

Thanks a lot Zs you were a tremendous help... and I figured out what I cut... It was either the feed or the return line off the FPR. I should have all that fixed in no time. Thanks again for all your help.
See the small hose running to the top of the FPR? Tee into that for manifold vacuum reading.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
