I thought you couldn't use that pump in the metal tank? Even says on the package, for plastic tanks only.

It says that on the package because the racetronix fuel pump kit is made for the F-bodys. It has something to do with the generations of F-bodys and the ones with the metal gas tanks were different then the ones with the plastic ones.

Im sure I read that a few people now are running the fuel pump in a metal tank on a J-body. Searching doesn't hurt and people are will more then likely reply to PM's.

You were PM'ed back. It only took VERY little trimming on my 99 pump housing. The older 98-96 pump I changed took a little bit more work than my 99 did.
