you'll have to swap to the 97 ECM so you can HP Tune ...

but why would need larger injectors? if you are all stock, you won't gain any benefit

there are a couple ways of doing it, but i feel this is best... get the 97 ECM and HPtune the injector constant down...

^ He is correct!: Prior the '98 M/Y, the LN2 used side-feed injectors. This idea was exclusive to GM, and nobody made oversize (Larger flow-rate) replacements... Including the aftermarket "King of EFI" Accel. Typically... If you want to go larger with the injectors on a pre-'98, you gotta do top-feed conversion. There's no kits for that to speak-of, but plenty of threads on this sight to pick through.

Go beyond the "bolt-on".

im using larger side feed injectors on my side feed ln2 i found them on importperformanceparts.net i just got the 55 lbs one that are universal maybe something just came together right for me but couldnt you convert the post 98 2200 intake onto the pre 98 engine block, i know a few people do this to do the 2.3 throttle body swap

^ Never heard of that... The port shape is differs between those two generations.

you must have also done the top feed conversion too. otherwise those accel units wouldn't work.

I personally did not i had to get different o rings for them to fit but other then that i believe the intake is stock its the stock aluminum ones that came on the pre 98's not the plastic one on the post 98, tho ive been thinking about doing the swap after reading up i believe their the same only difference is the post 98 is top feed on the intake in my understanding, and i havent heard anything about the ports on the head being different yet but it wouldnt suprise me

Yes, they're different (Pre-'98: Round (Circular), post-'97: Oblong (Squarish)).
BTW: Have you done the top-feed conversion on your pre-'98 manifold?

In the shape of the port, as I stated. And just search on this site under "Top-feed Conversion".

The previous owner must have done mine and i have searched and the only problem seems to be fitting the rail underneith the throttle body
