Does anybody have a part number for the hex insert for the HO cams. I have read that they can be bought at a gm parts dealer. The machinist that is doing my cam said he has to make one and it would be $57 per hour at 7 hours. I can't afford that. If someone has an extra one laying around I would be interested in buying it from you.
I pm'ed Brad Wheeler just about 5 seconds ago to see if he could help, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask everybody all at once either. Please help as my engine has been apart for three weeks already waitin on machinist. I WANT MY CAR BACK!!!! I have had enough of my grandma's mini van.(Thanx Gram)

Wow I didnt even know they made those. Anybody know how much they cost and how easily they go in? Im putting HO cams in my LD9 and could definatly use this.
its less than $10 at your local gm dealership. they have plenty. its the actual part for the 95-02 power steering drive.
its not hard, really. depends on how professional you choose to be about it. a hack saw and a tape measure works but so does a lathe and precise measurement.

I paid $11.19 at the local chevy dealer. Having a machinist mod the cam. Thanx again for your help Brad.
