Hey i was just wondering how hard is it to swap out the 2.3 in my 95 cavalier for a 92 H.O any tips or things that need to be changed would be helpful
very simple. keep your 95 alternator..and i think the waterpump assembly..would also suggest using the tranny that came with the 92 HO if it has 2 mounts...exhaust is gonna be tricky..gotta need a custom downpipe i believe
Hey thanks for the info. I'm not sure if the tranny has the two mounts or not. It was my friends gtz he totaled it and is going to give it to me. ill check the mounts then. Is there anyone here I can talk to to get a downpipe made?
Is your 95 an auto or manual. If it is an auto you in for a lot of crap.

i would skip the downpipe..and get one of rons headers.problem solved
dont forget power steering and coolant bypass woes.
powersteering isnt a woe..you simply need to use the HO powersteering pump...and i dont remember having a coolant by pass problem??
Its a stick and I was thinking about those headers I was lookin around and seen some posts about them. How much is it to make a header?
ill cost you more to make a header, than to buy one...even rons.
I meant how much does ron charge for one?
ya know.. im not sure what the final products is gonna be.... probably similar to what the original quad header cost...i would estimate somewhere around 500 ish
yeah it isnt that bad i guess, i used the 90 pump on mine but the lines just dont look very nice, i gotta redo them. As far as the coolant i was talking about the new thermostat placement and the new bypass tube behind the head.
