what do we have here? two crane cams blank intake cams both modded with hex insert for 2.4 power steering, one with just the hex, the other with both the CPS pad and hex. one w41 cam with both the hex and CPS pad. and two HO's with the hex and CPS pad.
(for those wondering, yes i now am having the CPS pad screws TIG WELDED over and they turn out beautifully. no way in hell they are going to fall off, absolutely no way. look below for close ups of this...)
only one of these bad boys is mine, the other four are going to different homes. i do want to take the time right now to thank jason mcelvy for being the very first person to trust me to do this for them. jason, i thank you from the bottom of my heart. i know these cams are going to one of the best homes this place has even seen. i want pics, updates, and news from here on out, man!
for those interested in getting some modding done to you're cams, shoot me a PM! ive put A LOT of time and thought into these cams, so please believe me when i tell you guys that it was really an honor to be able to share this with the JBO.

Other than that, I think my camshaft stiffened with all the bump sticks.

oh yeah absolutely. you have a set of blanks man... crane has told me there is something like 30 different grinds available through them. and we all know comp has the HG2 and W41 grinds down.

Wow, thanks for the work you have put into this. I will keep you in the loop with my progress. I plan on putting the new motor ( with your cams ) in the Cav in the spring.

I emailed them about a month ago and they said they were not quite ready to grind any cams yet. That is fine with me because I am not ready for that yet

Yes, this is why you should still consider the LD9 as a viable platform for some of your products.

I agree with you and I have talked to Bill about this acouple of times, but it is not a smart business move when there is very little interest.

To bring this back to topic.
I received my cams back from Brad yesterday. He installed a CPS pad and hex on my W41 intake cam, then machined and pressed in the hex insert on my cam blank. His machinist also did a nice touch on the hex insert by drilling a hole through the end of the cam and hex. Next he pressed in a pin in to keep the insert from spinning inside the cam
Brad kept me informed of his progress during each step of the process and I thank him for all the running around he did to get these cams done. The W41's will be running in the spring as the built motor is already done.

I have met the machinist and been there when Brad Has spent countless hours going over every possible way to mod these cams. Brad knows his stuff. If I were to look for cams I would go straight to him.
