Vacuum manifolds, wheres yours mounted?

Basically Id just like to see where your vacuum manifold is mounted if you have one, pics would be awesome! Id hate to have a mess of vacuum lines running across my bay but I need extra ports. Just gona try to hide the hoses as much as possible, just gimme some ideas!

I ordered a polished 6-port blox manifold, good deal and includes plugs for unused ports. Have an ho intake mani with a large nipple on the back that will be for the main vacuum source, so Im thinking mounting it to my battery tray so its close to the main source but all the lines running there would look messy. Or the firewall is my next choice, so I could prolly tuck them away a bit.

Post how yours is setup!

Also, does anyone know where to get a good 1/4" check valve? Need one for a nipple from the pcv port in the ld9 head. I remember when a bunch of guys got them from mcmaster-carr, but Id like to find something a bit smaller since those things were massive!

Ours is mounted under our battery, so there is no real way to get an installed pic with the battery lol. But here he a pic showing kinda where it was mounted.

I ended up just making my own because i was cheaper. $15 in materials FTW!!

Here is what i came up with

Thanks everyone, and thanks for the link Ion! Dave the new ho mani Im gona be using has a larger nipple oon the back which will be the main vac source for mine. Most have this or a threaded fitting which you could use another fitting with a larger nipple Im sure.

jmarks, you didnt want to just add the ports to your intake mani instead of even needing a vac manifold?

I didnt want to have to run 6 lines under the manifold and i would have cost more to run the -4 line that we did. It would have added another 5' of line. We already spent over 700 in braided line on the car. lol

The barbed fitting on the back is what goes to the brake booster.

Here is a pic of the -10 fitting on the mani

The vacuum block makes getting to each connection really easy. If it was under the manifold(because it looks horrible if the ports are visable) it would be a bitch to hook up and to take the intake mani off. So with the 1 -10 line it makes it really easy. I think it looks alot cleaner as well, but thats just me!

No I bought the oem piece to have my welder move my fuse box, my catch can is attached to the back side of this piece as well.

now with the battery moved to the trunk and the fuse box out of the way, I have room for a clean meth install.

This is where I mounted mine. I removed the ABS so it left a little more room. In this picture its kinda messy but its much cleaner now!

Are you guys tapping into your brake booster line for these? Running the line though the boxes?

Do you know what size ports are on the blox vacuum manifold the 2 big ports?
