3" dynomax super turbo
Im turbocharged soo of course the sound is deeper, but just wanted to note how quiet turbo style mufflers are. I replaced my megan cannon muffler with a dynomax super turbo, everything else the same and my exhaust is sooo much quieter now even 3" and catless. I have a 30" long 3" glasspack I was gona put in but done even think I need to anymore.
Also have a question, whats a good exhaust tip companies that arent too expensive? I know magnaflow has plenty of nice factory looking tips, but dont realy wana spend $70 or more for an exhaust tip. Id like something similar to a factory ls sport tip, or an actual stock ls sport tip if I can find one.

Thanks! Just got a nice vibrant polished ss tip for much cheaper than a magnaflow.

Explain further? I don't quite get it, but I want to.

Try running the glass-pack between where the cat was & the first bend by the rear axle, then tell us how quiet it is!

Carbs are rated not by diameter of their bores (Or area) but by amount of air they flow in CFM (Cubic-feet per minute). That is how the decision on what size carb to go with on a given application is made. After all, you don't want to be holding-back on the amount of air the engine that's been built can breathe, do you? Nor do you wish to make it so big that it can't respond properly to the pressure difference (vacuum) signal & make the engine stumble oddly at "tip-in", making it a miserable handful to drive. So, since this method of decision affects the gases flowing in, it only makes sense to apply it to the gases flowing out as well.
Now that I've got that clear, let's go into it a li'l further...
Carbs... since they're typically used in natural-aspiration apps...are flow-rated under 10.5 inches of vacuum-drop. At least most of them are (Don't get me started about Holleys used on the Mopar 440-6pk!). Using this as an initial guideline for which to base research into flow-rating which exhaust-gas handling parts to choose from, we can then slowly go through trial-&-error in learning where's the point where anything larger would be unnecessary & contributing to increasing exhaust noise.
Thankfully, David Vizard (Contributing editor to Popular Hot-Rodding Magazine & writer of several technical automotive performance books) has done all this for us, and findings show that when going with a size of pipe that has a flow-rating of more than 2.2cfm under 10.5in of vacuum drop (Or 10.5in.hg.) there is no (like, as in: About zero!) significant increase in an engine's power output. Hence the term: 2.2cfm@10.5in.hg. This applies to all pipes, resonators & mufflers chosen to used in the given app. As for specific brand or design, that's just a matter of taste & the result desired in terms of exhaust tone.
Use mandrel bends, not cheapo press-machine bends, and good luck!
