after market to stock

i have a pacesetter header. 2.25 inch piping with magnaflow resonator and muffler. is it possible to just put a stock muffler back on to shut the car up or would that cause problems???

thanks

Why would you want to do that?? That would make the 2.25" piping pointless. Basically turns the exhaust into one big funnel and you'll basically lose all performance gains from it.

Just find a longer and better resonator.

Is it a straight through muffler or chamber?

Your current magnaflow muffler. Basically is it canister or is it oval like the stock one? Do you know which muffler you currently havee?

Ok, that's a straight thru one. It's also the same one that I have. Personally, I like except when the engine is cold.

You can go ahead and switch back to stock but you'll need an exhaust pipe reducer and it basically defeats the purpose of doing your exhuast. Just FYI...

Try going with a different muffler that's 2.25". Sucks to see someone do a full exhaust and then put the stock muffler back on. Wasted $500+.

Look into chambered mufflers tho. Straight-Thru mufflers tend to be louder and more raspy.

A little...Still got 2.25 piping all the way back so its gonna be louder than stock no matter what.

put on a dynomax superturbo. quiet untill you dont want it to be, and it'll flow just as good as your straight through magnaflow.

I have a pacesetter header, 2.5 full exhaust, magnaflow hiflo cat, and a cherrybomb superturbo chambered muffler ($19.99). Its maybe 5% louder than stock if that. Good flow, decent sound and doesn't annoy everyone.
