is the timing gears, chain, and tensioner the same on the 2.2 and 2200?
I believe the 2.2 IS the 2200 so my answer would probably lean towards yes.
Right but they changed a few things when they started making the 2200's in 98
check online to see if the part #'s are the same

2.2 generally refers to the pre-98 engine, whereas 2200 refers to the 98+ engine. timing set is the same.

true, and i should have been more specific. the timing set is the same from (i think) 94-2002.
