I am going to make this post here just to see if there is an interest. If there is then I will make a new one in the classifieds section.

A friend of mine has been having fuel rails made for neons for a while now. He has offered to start having them made for cavaliers if I can get enough interest out of it. They can vary in size from -6AN to -10AN. He is also a powder coater so they will be coated to a color of your choosing as long as it is not a specialty color. You can see the colors here www.unknowncoatings.com

He is thinking between $130-$140 for price.

Would anyone else be interested in this?

Also on a side note, he can powder coat parts for you. He has done my top plate, I will post pics later.

Mine is a 2.4 so that will be available and he is looking for an ecotec rail now. But I'm sure he would be willing to make them for the 2.2 as well as long as he has a mock up.

that looks like pretty decent work. how long is the whole process?
Re: Fuel Rails

thats pretty cool will it be able to hold up to decent amounts of power?
Re: Fuel Rails

Hey guys, glad to see there is some interest in these.

Basically what I need to make rails is a stock rail, I would only need it a few days or so.
Then probably a car to test fit mine on to verify all is well.

Process from start to finish.........if I had a rail monday I could have one of my replacement pieces done the following monday.

Will the rails hold up to a decent amount of power? Not sure what this is asking. They shouldnt need to "hold up" to anything, they just allow you to supply your engine with more fuel IF YOU NEED TO.

I run a -10 fuel system on my drag car, so I wanted a -10 rail to go along with that.

Prior to me making the -8 and -10 rails, only -6 was available and that wasnt cutting it for a 700+ hp Neon.

i have an extra 2.4 rail laying around if you need to borrow it. I was going to use to to try and make a custom rail with it by installing fuel fittings onto each end but I would rather buy one ready that I am able to give a high polish to.

I would be interested if one can be made for a 2200

Yeah basically if you have a stock rail I can make one of mine based off that.

If you want to send me a stock one I can give you a discount on one of my units and send your stock one back

You should know that the 2002 Ecotec fuel rail is different from the 2003+ fuel rail.

Also that the Ecotec fuel rails for the Cobalt/Ion are a returnless style, whereas the Jbody platform (cavaliers/sunfires) have a return style.

I've got an Eco rail that I'm not doing anything with that I'll give up for the cause (even though I don't have my j-body anymore ).

shoot me a PM and such, and I'll get it out to you.

I would be interested after seeing a 2200 one.

I would like to see how they deal with mounting brackets and FPR connection before I would commit to anything. Also, gotta look nice. Is polishing or other non-powdercoating options available?

so is this going to happen?
Re: Fuel Rails

don't see why it wouldn't...my 2200 rail is on it's way to him

This was something I was planning on designing in the near future. Great idea man. I would love to get one. Also just wondering are the tabs gonna be welded or are they bolted.
