ok, i have an 01 cav z24 and i'm lookin at a fully built and s/c ld9 out of a 00 sunfire gt. What problems might i run into in swapping these two motors, i.e. are they the same mounting points? and if anybody's ever done it, how much of a pain in the a ss is it?

Other than some sheet metal, cavaliers and sunfires are exactly the same.

what about the PCM, the built motor has been HP tuned, so i'd be switching all the wiring, would there be any problems there? I guess i'm mostly thinking if that would affect the guages since their a different setup, but if there's any other issues lemme know

Its all the same wiring, you can even take the cluster out of the sunfire and put it in the cavalier and it will work just fine, and even the correct mileage will show up. All you need to do if you want the PCM from the tuned one is to unplug it from that one, and plug it into your harness, done.

cool, i'll be keeping my cav cluster since it's like a $300 BBC cluster, but thanx shifted it seems like every time i ask a performance question you give me a reputable answer.
