Probably because it's not the right engine? If you don't know simple @!#$ like this, you're in no position to be swapping an engine.

Unless it has push-rods (God forbid, especially with some here), I'd say he means it's been bored-out (As part of the rebuild) to displace 2.5L & that's what he means.
Go beyond the "bolt-on".
